Sandgate enjoys a beautiful natural environment with its foreshore, tidal sands and lagoons. Adding to the beauty of the area for those who walk, ride, roller-blade or play, are many public artworks in parklands.
The benefits of its 1996 Shopping Centre Improvement Project are seen in the urban art in the streetscape of the Sandgate shopping centre on Brighton Road.
