Poets on the Park
Poets on the Park meet to read their work at Caf on the Park, 6 Park Parade, Shorncliffe, on the third Monday of each month at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome.
The friendly atmosphere gives confidence to anyone who attends and those who attend regularly find that their work improves. Performance poets occasionally join the group and present classics from Australian literature.
Poets on the Park have been meeting since the inaugural Bluewater Festival in 1998 and have produced two books of poems. Images of Bramble Bay, an illustrated anthology on the Bramble Bay area, is sold through local businesses.

Ridge Writers
This informal organisation of writers, both published and unpublished, meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. Gathering in the Bracken Ridge Library meeting room, writers read and critique their works.
