Welcome

Sandgate includes the suburbs: Brighton, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Deagon, and parts of Bracken Ridge and North Boondall.

The district is only a 30-minute drive from Brisbane’s CBD and 20-minutes from the airport.

Tinchi Tamba, Deagon and Boondall environmental parklands, located to the west and south, ensure the unique wetland’s preservation.

Moreton Bay’s marine park lies to the east. Parklands extend along the water’s edge.

Sandgate’s heritage buildings and homes are a reminder of its early settlement in Brisbane’s history. Once a favoured seaside destination, Sandgate is now enjoying a revival. It has become a haven for artists, musicians, performers and natural health practitioners.

Bayside cafes, restaurants and coffee shops are dotted throughout the area. Public art adorns the parklands and sidewalks.

Access is easy – there are freeway exits and entrances north and south to the Gateway Arterial Highway, which lead to the Sunshine and Gold Coasts.
